He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert S. Sprinkle and Hattie Bowman Sprinkle of Roanoke; and his brother Robert "Skip" Sprinkle (Lyn) of Richmond. He is survived by: his brother James Sprinkle (Sheila) of Texas; his wife Cindy Rettig Sprinkle; his children, Christopher Bernier and Amy Tolbert (Mike); his grandchildren, Megan Hughes (Devin), Ethan Bernier, Abby Tolbert, Katie Tolbert and Macy Tolbert; and his great grandchild Skylar Hughes. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Howard would prefer donations to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
