He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley "Jack" Hamilton Yost and Victoria; and his sister Doris Greathead. He is survived by: his wife Doris Yost; his son Shane Yost (Missy) of Bluefield, WV; his stepson Joey Mays (Michele) of Simpsonville, SC; his stepgrandson Joshua of Knoxville, TN; his cousins, Appie Lambert of Tazewell, VA, Eric Woolwine of Daniels, WV and Craig Young of South Boston, VA; and his grandchildren, Callista, Chance and Caydence Yost.
