He was predeceased by: his father Preston Lee "Buck"; and his siblings, Larry Dye and Wilma Dye. He is survived by: his wife Stephenie Pinder Dye; his children, Joey Dye, Travis Dye (Hillary), Alex Dye, Clara Dye and Nicholas Dye; his granddaughters, Marissa Dye, Makenna Dye, Anna Belle Dye, Madalyn Dye and Sadie Dye; and his sisters, Dona Dye of Kingsport, Dana Blankenship of Swords Creek, Jeanie Compton (Darryl) of Honaker, Teresa Barker (Dana) of Gray and Tammy Shupe (Rick) of Gray. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
