He was predeceased by: his parents, Isabelle Taylor Brooks and Bill Taylor; his stepfather Frank Brooks; and his siblings, Shorty, Gobel, Joe, Carter Taylor, Ruby and Mary Taylor.

He is survived by: his uncle Heavenly; his siblings, Mike Taylor (Suzie) of Hulan, KY, Vernon Taylor of Ewing and Jean West (Elijah) of Ewing; and his close friend Danny Williams. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
