He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Viola Bacon; his daughter Jaquline Diane Bacon; his parents, James Olin Bacon Sr. and Gustava Nida; his grandson Eric Wade Hensley; and his siblings, Isaac Bacon Sr. (Ike), Earnest Bacon (Mick), Kemp Bacon and Edna America Bacon.
He is survived by: his brother Mike Bacon; his foster children, Joyce Hensley and Robin Poore; and his great grandchild Leonard Hensley. He is also survived by three nieces and two nephews; seven grandchildren.
