It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gedna Ramey of Rose Hill, Virginia, born in Duffield, Virginia, who passed away on October 9, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Harvey Crawford Ramey; her parents, Roy Baker and Phoebe Baker; her sons, Earnest Ramey and Emory Ramey; her brother Houston Baker (Betty); her nephew Andy Baker; her niece Cleva Jessee; and her stepdaughter Joyce Ann Smith.
She is survived by: her sons, James Ramey (Renee) of Appalachia, VA and Harvey Junior Ramey (Kimberly) of Rose Hill, VA; her stepdaughter Jean Darnell of Kingsport, TN; her grandchildren, Levi Waddell, Lindsay Ramey, Logan Ramey, Erica Ramey and Taylor Ramey; and her sisters, May Jessee (Kelly) of Duffield, Wilma Middleton of Dryden, VA, Bernice Miller (Kelly) of Duffield, VA and Estelle Miller (Jay) of Kingsport, TN. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Due to covid-19 state regulations, those attending the visitation and funeral are asked to wear masks/facial covering. Social distancing guidelines will also be in place.
