He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Sanders Grabeel Sr. and Elsa Rhea Grabeel; and his brother James Robert Grabeel. He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his children, Shannon Grabeel (Shelley) of Ewing, VA, Derick Grabeel (Nikkie) of Rose Hill, VA and Misty Jackson (Michael) of Middlesboro, KY; his grandchildren, Zackery Grabeel (MacKenzie), Thomas Grabeel (Courtney), Tenley Jackson, Parker Jackson, Matthew Grabeel, Hadlee Grabeel and Harrison Grabeel; and his siblings, Evelyn G. Scott (Don) and Franklin D. Grabeel. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Mullins-Sturgill Funeral Home of Pennington Gap.
