She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Berger and Mary Muse Berger Sheffield; and her sister Rosa Ella Trent. She is survived by: her son Theodore Benjamin James; her grandson Justin James; and her siblings, Linda Allen of Hampton, GA., June Stockton (Leroy) of Martinsville, James Berger of Martinsville, Marshall Berger (Florence) of Charleston, WV and Raymond Berger (Maxine) of Walnut Cove, NC.
