It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Geraldine Love of Rocky Mount, Virginia, who passed away on January 12, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Selourie Lee Young and Pauline Powell Young; her sisters, Loretta Young McGhee and Juanita Young Minton; and her nephew Steven Lee Minton.
She is survived by: her husband Cecil Love; her children, Wanda Love Martin and Wendel (Josh); her granddaughter Holli Martin; her sisters, Delores Young Oakes (Steve) and Mildred Love Young Gillispie; her brother-in-law Clarence O. Love; her nieces, Debra McGhee Wells, Teresa Minton Strichik (Larry), Mara Oakes McAlexander (Kevin), Leanne Oakes, Donna Wray, Linda Love Wray (Alvin) and Denise Young Bryant (Ronnie); her nephew Dean McGhee (Terri); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Kristie Nichols Fisher (Shane), Cindy McGhee Parmelee, Kristen Wiliams Ray, Julia Allaman (Chris), Hannah Wray, Brodey Oakes, Brandon McGhee (Toby), Thomas Wray and Thomas Parmelee; and also, Brianna Parmelee, Kylie Parmelee, Aiden Fisher, Kaleb Fisher and Avery Allaman.
