As we bid George farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For George is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George William English, Sr. and Hazel Shumate English. He is survived by: his fiancée Sue C. Hodges; his sister Pat E. Jones; his niece Sarah J. Owen (Carroll); and his nephew Bryan E. Jones (Stacey).
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Flora Funeral Home (665 S Main St, Rocky Mount, VA 24151). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Pleasant Hill Church (2717 Ruritan Rd, Rocky Mount, VA 24151).
