He is survived by: his wife Celine Burtner (Kraus); his children, George M. Burtner of Newport News, VA, Kim Hudson (Friel) of Roanoke, VA and Kathy B. Smith of Rocky Mount, VA; his siblings, James Burtner of Cabot, Eva Jean Ohl of Cabot and Nancy Mowery (Earl) of Cabot; his grandchildren, Matthew Hudson, Sarah Hudson and Michelle Johnson (Sheldon); and his great grandchild Spencer Cole Hudson.
