It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edith Young (Rocky Mount, Virginia), who passed away on August 15, 2024, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Patrick Young (Pat) and Della Virginia McGhee Young; her husband Everett; her grandson Duane Willie; her great grandchild Adam M. Willie; her granddaughter Sandra Young; and her siblings, Marie Young, Vida Harned Cooper, Addie Clower, Erma Lyle, Olia Dodson, Audrey Belcher, Marshall Ray Young, Carroll Young and Chester Ervin Young.
She is survived by: her children, Jerald Young (Phyllis), Janet Willie (Gerald) and Richard Young (Fredericka); her grandchildren, Darryl Willie, Cynthia Young Todd and Kathleen Young Burgess (Michael); and her great grandchildren, Ashley Willie Beason (John), Emily Willie Young, Heather Todd, Lauren Todd, Seth Todd, Ben Burgess and Lily Burgess.
