He was predeceased by: his mother Dessie Powell; and his brother Carl Hilton Powell Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Patricia M. Claytor; his daughter Tammy Williams (Greg) of High Point, NC; his grandsons, Matthew Crumpton of Washington, DC, Ryan Crumpton of Greensboro, NC and Vonn Crumpton of Winston Salem, NC.; his great grandchild Dasani Crumpton; his siblings, Glen Powell (Kaye) of Salem and Hazel George of Cincinnati, Ohio; and his cousin Guy James of Penhook, VA. He is also survived by three nieces, one nephew and a host of cousins, extended family and friends.
