He was predeceased by: his son Joseph Clifton "J. C." Robert; and his parent Nannie Roberts. He is survived by: his wife Joetta Roberts; his children, Cathy Kennedy (Robin) and Girvis John Roberts of Huntington, WV; and his grandchildren, Brittany Kennedy, Nikki Kennedy, Austin Kennedy and Tiphoney Kennedy. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
