Joe Curtis Lewis Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 27, 2024, at the age of 79, Joe Curtis Lewis of Rocky Gap, Virginia, born in Freeman, West Virginia passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joe Curtis Lewis to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Estell and Mary Frances Lester Lewis; and his siblings, Margaret Johnson, David Lewis, Frank Lewis, Marie Giddens, George Lewis and Dollie Pitts.
He is survived by: his wife Eva Walker Lewis; his children, Joey (Nancy Lewis), Michael (Sarah Lewis), Brady (Angela Lewis), Curt (Mandy Lewis) and Katie (Jay Meadows); his siblings, Josephine Foran of Bluefield and Ronny Lewis of Bluefield; his sister-in-law Cindy; and also, Heather and Misty. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, special friends and neighbors.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 31st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Bastian Union Church (29 Bears Trail, Bastian, VA 24314). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 31st 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, August 31st 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Laurel Fork Cemetery (5940 Laurel Fork Rd, Rocky Gap, VA 24366).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made in Joe's honor to the Bastian Union Church Building Fund, 29 Bears Trail, Bastian, VA, 24314.
