He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Adkins and Redith Adkins; his stepdaughter Tracy Wright; and his sister Wanda Ames. He is survived by: his wife Elaine Adkins; his stepdaughter Julie Halsey; his grandsons, Tristan and Aden; his mother-in-law Mary "Grandma" Fincher; and his siblings, Brenda Johnson, Roy Adkins and Paul Adkins. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
