Ann Hester Markey Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ann Hester Markey of Rockville, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 25, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Hester and Agnes Hester; and her siblings, Russell Hester, Jr., Lewis S. Hester and Dorothy H. Luck.
She is survived by: her husband James J. Markey; her son James R. Markey (Mary Theresa); her grandchildren, Stephen J. Markey and Jennifer L. Markey; and her sister Sarah Jane Hester. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home (11020 W Broad St, Glen Allen, VA 23060). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Berea Baptist Church (15421 Pouncey Tract Rd, Rockville, VA 23146).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Berea Baptist Church.
