He was predeceased by: his parents, Sunya Cherrie Rogers and Walter Clinton Rogers; and his brothers, Charles "Roy" Rogers and Jack Rogers. He is survived by: his daughter Tiffaney Starr Barrette (Matt) of Roanoke; his grandchildren, Christian, Isabella and Madelyn; his brother David Rogers (Cassie); his aunt Luwanda Richards (Deborah Rogers); his close friend Linda Nester; and his children, Paw-Paw, Christian, Isabella and Madelyn. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Roanoke Valley SPCA.
