Ruth Ester Smallwood Lantz White Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 11, 2025, Ruth Ester Smallwood Lantz White of Roanoke, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Ruth shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Ruth farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Wesley; and her children, Diana Stokes (Dave), David Lantz (Dawn) and Catherine Dawson (Doug). She was also cherished by cousins, nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Oakey's South Chapel (4257 Brambleton Ave, Cave Spring, VA 24018). A graveside service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Evergreen Burial Park (1307 Summit Ave SW, Roanoke, VA 24015).
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, The Alzheimer's Association, or The Parkinson's Foundation in Ruth's memory.
