With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Roger Dale Smith of Roanoke, Virginia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Smith and Judy Smith; his brother Mark Smith; and his wife Bonnie Smith. He is survived by: his children, Deanna "Dee" Humphries (Mickey), Scotty Smith and Dean; his grandchildren, Lilly Cox and Phoenix Humphries; and his siblings, Richie Smith, David Smith (Susan), Jon Smith (Etta), Randy Smith (Shirley), Sandi Casella (Brian) and Carl Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
