He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Eggers and Pat Eggers. He is survived by: his siblings, Ralph Eggers (Maurine), James Eggers (Betty Pugh), Betty Eggers and Rose Shifflett (Mark). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and many great nieces and great nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Blue Ridge Independent Living Center 1502 Williamson Road Roanoke, Virginia 24012 A celebration of Robert's life is scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, April 13, 2018 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road.
