As Retha Ann departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Retha Ann. Though Retha Ann may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles M. Pack and Ora Lilly Pack; and her sister Peggy. She is survived by: her husband Herbert Freeland; her children, Lineki McDaniel (Steve) of Sunset Beach, NC and Brian Freeland (Chrissy); her grandchildren, Brayden of Warrenton, VA and Riley of Warrenton, VA; and her brother James C. Pack (Ramona) of Beverly, WV. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Pivont Funeral Home Chapel (100 Park Ave, Hinton, WV 25951). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
