It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norma Snider Ruble (Roanoke, Virginia), born in Christiansburg, Virginia, who passed away on August 30, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Lee Snider (Tom) and Agnes Epperly Snider; her husband Tom Ruble; her brothers-in-law, Byron Ruble and Walter Ruble; her niece Sherri Snider; and her nephew Scott Ruble.

She is survived by: her son Chad Ruble (Melissa); her stepdaughters, Tina Ruble and Tammie Thomas (Bob); her grandchildren, Haley Ruble, Ethan Ruble (Myra Barco-Calderon), Trenton Ruble, Acacia Ethridge (Steven), Gabriele Joki (Brian), Jessica Thomas, Sarah McGuiness (Matt), Sasha Garrison (Tim Poling) and Lary Garrison III; her great grandchildren, Silas Ethridge, Lillian Ethridge, Spencer Joki, Miles Joki and Magnolia McGuiness; and her siblings, Nancy Moore (Jack), Lee Snider (Kim) and Nathan Snider (Margaret). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and many cousins.

“I grew up with Norma and went through school with her. We graduated high school in Christiansburg, Virginia in 1964. Norma was a special person and was kind to all. I was lucky enough to sit with Norma during a lunch reunion in Roanoke earlier and always tried to speak to her at the larger reunions in Christiansburg. While her death was sad, her life was an inspiration. Wishing her family well as I know she did for you also. Ronald Neely”
