She was predeceased by: her parents, Warren Lanham Short and Nancy Otey Short; her husband Stanley Michael Lawson; and her brothers, Warren S. Short and Randolph Kelbin Short.
She is survived by: her daughter Nancy; her son-in-law Scott Rogers; her granddaughter Ivy Lee; and her great grandchildren, Rosalind and Cruz Hall.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Lotz Funeral Home (1001 Franklin Rd SW, Roanoke, VA 24016).
