As we bid Nelson farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Nelson is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy "Pop" Walters and Ruby B. Walters. He is survived by: his cousins, Pete and Fred; his significant other Jenell; and his children, Steven Walters (Laurie) of Goochland, VA, Sharon Midanier (Gabe) of Conway, SC and Michael Walters (Rebecca) of Roanoke, VA. He is also survived by his four grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Oakey's North Chapel (6732 Peters Creek Rd, Hollins, VA 24019). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
