We are sad to announce that on October 16, 2024, at the age of 82, Mae Franklin in Roanoke, Virginia passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mae Franklin to pay them a last tribute.

Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Mae leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Johnson Helms and Bertha Mae "Peggy" Goode; and her brothers, Bobby Ray Helms and Harold Wayne Helms. She is survived by: her stepfather James Edgar Goode; her husband James Elmer Franklin of Figsboro; and her children, Cathy F. Fulcher (Grady) of Figsboro and Duane A. Franklin (Samantha) of Martinsville. She is also survived by four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Collinsville Covenant Brethren Church, 553 W John Redd Blvd. Collinsville, VA, 24078, in Reva's honor.
