She was predeceased by: her parents, Reverend H. L. Prillaman, Sr. and Velma Young Prillaman; her husband Franklin D. Nickelston; and her brothers, H. L. Prillaman, Jr. and Douglas A. Prillaman.
She is survived by: her daughter Susan Nickelston Johnson (Donnie); her granddaughter Cora Beth Akers (Curtis); and her great grandchildren, Klayton Noah Akers of Roanoke and Harrison Wayne Akers of Roanoke.
