It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Johnny R. Simpson of Roanoke, Virginia, who passed away at the age of 72, on November 16, 2024. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard "John" Simpson and Ruby Beckner Simpson; his siblings, Joyce Simpson Myers, Janet Simpson Wilkerson, Elizabeth Kay Simpson Carroll, William Carroll Simpson and Danny Lee Simpson; and his nephews, Austin Brian Carroll and Brent Jacob Carroll.

He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Jobie Myers Batts (Billy), Ronda Nelson (Ty), Troy Wilkerson (Christy), Cory Carroll (Ashton), Billy Simpson (Diane) and Stephen Simpson; his great-niece Katie Wilkerson; his great-nephews, Hunter Batts and Bennett Carroll; his siblings-in-law, Wayne Wilkerson and Harue Simpson; and his pet Buck.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Simpson Funeral Home (5160 Peters Creek Rd, Roanoke, VA 24019). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials in Johnny's name to Belmont Presbyterian Church.
