She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Thomas D. Boswell; her parents, Jack Barber and Lucille Barber of Roanoke, Virginia.; her siblings, Jack Barber, Jr. (Carol), Bob Barber (Becky), Theresa Chandler (Doug) of Ohio and Carolyn Crawford of Roanoke, Virginia; her children, Rhonda "Renee" Smart (Gary) and Ronald David Ham (Cyndi) of Roanoke, Virginia; her granddaughter Christin Leigh Smart of Roanoke; her great grandchild Jackson Smart of Rustburg; her stepchildren, Connie Rooney (Pat) of Georgia, Ira Schwartz (Gary) of North Carolina and Tom Boswell, Jr. (Vonda) of North Carolina; her stepgrandchildren, Eric Pittman (Brittani), Michael Rooney (Erica), Jamie Rivenbark, Chastie Blackwelder (David), Joel Boswell, Glory Boswell, Magesty Boswell and Issac Boswell; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Marcus Blackwelder, Analeise Rivenbark and Paxon Rivenbark.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Oakey's North Chapel (6732 Peters Creek Rd, Hollins, VA 24019). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shenandoah Baptist Church Missions.
