It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Janet Yvonne Brown of Roanoke, Virginia, who passed away on October 12, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gladys E. Jones and James C. Jones; her children, Alvin Jones and Donna Saunders; her grandson Pierre Carter; and her brothers, Milton, Curtis and Nelson Jones.
She is survived by: her husband Clarence Brown; her children, Carolyn Hairston, Michael and Joseph Saunders (Keisha); and her siblings, Gladys Jones, Tonya Saunders, Connie Jones, Melvin and Jeremiah Jones. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 18th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Serenity Funeral Home (126 Gilmer Ave NW, Roanoke, VA 24016). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 18th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
