He was predeceased by: his children, Tammy Leigh Paitsel and William Stuart Paitsel; and his sister Jerry Pollard. He is survived by: his wife Wilma Jane Paitsel; his son James E. Paitsel II (Silke) of Germany; his grandchildren, Jeremy Paitsel, Andrew Paitsel and Hailey Paitsel; and his siblings, Marcy LaPrade and David Paitsel. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
