Irving Ray Glover Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Irving Ray Glover in Roanoke, Virginia, born in Detroit, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 27, 2025 at the age of 88. He was predeceased by: his children, Carol Glover and Gene Grider; his parents, Fred Glover and Grace Glover; his former wife Faye Frysinger Glover; and also, Hiram, Miriam Frysinger, Elmer and Grace Arnold.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Glover; and his children, Dale Glover (Cheryl), Mark Grider (Bobbie), Neil Grider, Elaine Wilson (Tad), Tina Secrist (Frank) and Judy Nelson (Andy). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Simpson Funeral Home (5160 Peters Creek Rd, Roanoke, VA 24019). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Club Friendship Room (397 Hershberger Rd NW, Roanoke, VA 24012).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospice in Roanoke, VA, Trinity Church of the Brethren in Troutville, VA, or the League of Animal Protection in Fincastle, VA.
