It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Deck of Roanoke, Virginia, who passed away on September 15, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Dorcey William "Bill" Deck, Sr.; her parents, Henry Boyle Martin and Ida Mae Cole; and her son-in-law Jerry Lynn Altizer. She is survived by: her sister Rita Richardson; her children, Patricia Altizer, Linda Deck Corbitt (Steven Watson) and Dr. Bill Deck, Jr. (Margie); her grandchildren, William Blake Corbitt, Hannah Margaret Deck and Jace William Deck; and her friend Jane Lape.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make donations to the American Cancer Society, in honor of her son-in-law Jerry.
