He was predeceased by: his parents, David Hood and Mae Hood; and his siblings, Francis Edmunds, Bob and Gene.
He is survived by: his wife Rebecca P. Hood; his sons, Alan (Nancy) and Brian (Rebecca); his granddaughters, Jacqui (Nolan) and Ashlee (Aaron); his great grandchild Anna; and his brother Wallace (Martha). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Blackstone Chapel of Joseph McMillian Funeral Homes (1826 Cox Rd, Blackstone, VA 23824). A graveside service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Lakeview Cemetery (700 8th St, Blackstone, VA 23824). A procession was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at the same location.
