We bid farewell to Garland Parry of Roanoke, Virginia, born in Lyndhurst, Virginia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 30, 2024 at the age of 87. Garland touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his wife Katherine Parry (Kay); his parents, Ferrol Parry and William Parry; and his brothers, Alvin, Kenneth and Gwynn Parry.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Boylan (Bobby Jones), Timothy Parry (Teresa) and Leigh Ann Becker (Chris); his grandchildren, Bess Platt (Stephen), Lauren Becker, Brooke Reed (Trey), Jessi Beckett (Randy), Jake Parry (Kelly), Eli Boylan (Lindsey), Drew Becker, Kate Becker and Amber Clary (Aaron); and his great grandchildren, Laurel, Ryder, Dylan, Kyleigh, John, Nathan, Cora, Easton, Cormany, Kasyn, Lucas, Brynn, Alaina and Kendall. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Oakey's South Chapel (4257 Brambleton Ave, Cave Spring, VA 24018). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 4th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Sherwood Memorial Park (1250 E Main St, Salem, VA 24153). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 4th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Raleigh Court Presbyterian Church (1706 Grandin Rd SW, Roanoke, VA 24015).
