She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Law and Ida Law of Glade Hill; her husbands, Nelson Matthews and Harry Arrington; her siblings, Ruby Law Potter and Raymond Law; and her stepson Dickie Arrington.
She is survived by: her son Ricky Matthews (Kathy); her stepsons, Paul Arrington (Jenny) and Noel Arrington (Lorie Demers); her grandchildren, Heather Matthews Anderson (Eric), Chad Arrington (Daria), Kelly Arrington Dunbar (Matt), Jennifer Arrington Corbin (Chris), Richard Arrington (Kristi), Justin Arrington (Amanda), Sam Arrington and Mac Arrington; and her niece Pamela Sue Potter. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Flora Funeral Chapel (665 S Main St, Rocky Mount, VA 24151). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or a charity of your choice.
