He was predeceased by: his parents, Moses Stephens and Elizabeth Walker Stephens; his siblings, Eddie Stephens Jr., Jean Stephens Beckner, Berkley Ann Stephens and Mildred P. Stephens; his daughter Veronica Stephens McGeorge; his grandson Jackie McGeorge Jr.; and his daughter-in-law Latreesa "Pokey" Ferrell Stephens.
He is survived by: his significant other Brenda Smith; his children, Eugene Wesley Stephens Jr., Jerome Warren Stephens (Sondra), Shavon Maurice Stephens, Rafelle Smith, Leron Smith, Desmond Smith, Sheneka Stephens Engel (Brian), Shayla Stephens and Shalisha Smith; and his siblings, Warren Stephens (Sylvia) of Silver Spring, MD, Barbara Stephens Routh of Fredericksburg, VA and Margaret Stephens Brown (Frank) of Killeen, TX.. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the High Street Baptist Church (2302 Florida Ave NW, Roanoke, VA 24017). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
