It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas Ray Conner of Roanoke, Virginia, who passed away on February 16, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Douglas Ray departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Douglas Ray may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Douglas Ray leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvert Conner and Delores Conner; his brothers, Bill, Johnny and Danny Conner; his niece Crystal Clinebell; and his nephew Jeff Mills.
He is survived by: his sisters, Frances Campbell, Anna Harris and Cathy Plunkett; his sisters-in-law, Joyce, Judy and Donna Conner; and his nephew Clay Conner. He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
