She was predeceased by: her husband James Edward Carwile; her siblings, Margaret R. Moore, Raymond, Willie, Junior and Loxley; and her parents, James Leonard and Nona Burnette Reynolds.
She is survived by: her daughters, Shirley C. Walthall (Lloyd) and Kathy C. Hines (Harold); her granddaughters, Ana M. Hines (Bradley Shaner) and Emerald D. Hines (Logan Shorter); and her sister Frances R. Keeler. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
