She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Reed and Charlotte Reed; and her spouse Rev. Brunelle F. "Bud" Phillips, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughters, Sally Saunders (John) and Julie Meadows (Tony); her brother Donald E. Reed (Tricia) of Kennett Square, PA; her grandchildren, Ryan Saunders (Crista) and Amy Honeycutt (Taylor); her stepgrandchildren, Jason Meadows (Rebecca) and Jennifer Walls (Aubrey); her stepgreat-grandchildren, Sara Beth, Jackson Walls, Kate, Addie and Caroline Meadows; her grandchildren, Haley, Luke Saunders, Merritt and Hudson Honeycutt; and her nieces and nephews, Charlotte Reed, Elizabeth Hawk (Michael), Jennie Culkin, Tim Reed (Maria) and Ted Phillips (Susan Furr).
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Melrose Baptist Church (3520 Peters Creek Rd, Roanoke, VA 24019). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Cure Alzheimer's Fund (curealz.org} or Good Sam Hospice in Roanoke, VA).
