He was predeceased by: his parents, Bud Hefner and Millie Hefner. He is survived by: his wife Margie; his daughter Lisa Smith; his son-in-law Trey Smith; his grandchildren, Ryan Smith of Roanoke, Cade Smith of Roanoke and Joshua Smith of Roanoke; and his siblings, Helen Linton (John) of Kansas City, Pat Bennett (John) of Buckhannon and Jeff Hefner (Dee) of Buckhannon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Franklin Co. Humane Society.
