It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carmen Surat of Roanoke, Virginia, born in New York, New York, who passed away on October 14, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Epifanio Romero and Carmen Romero; her former husband Marion T. "Chuck" Surat; her son Charles "Chuck" Surat; and her brother George Romero.

She is survived by: her son-in-law Daniel Yeago; her child Carmen; her husband Day; and her children, Michele, Mark, Eric (Karen), Desiree (Daniel Yeago), Gabrielle (Randal Gatzke), Alyssa (Richard Westerman) and Rory (Sharay). She is also survived by 26 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Lady of Nazareth Catholic Church.
