Wanzer, Mary Minor Tibbs, Lessie and Martha Henderson Johnson; his daughter Barvetta Kinsey; his siblings, James Marshall Tibbs "Baby Jim", Viola and Jean Warner; his parents-in-law, Russell and Bessie Bannister; his son-in-law Jack White, Sr.; his siblings-in-law, Russell, William, Charles Bannister, Harold, Robert Warner, Joe Coleman and Landonia Bannister (Benjamin "Ben" Dinkins); and his cousins, Felding "Bug" Lawson, Eugene "June Bug" and Charles Roberts.
He is survived by: his wife Lillie "Lee" Tibbs; his daughters, Barbara McGhee, Bessie White, Belinda Tibbs and Brenda Rojas (Emmanuel); his grandchildren, Dwayne, Urshala McGhee, Roland Tibbs, Jack Jr. (Shawna), Jason White (Amber), Lofton Lambert, IV, Shaykia, Shaykita Grant and Octavia Tibbs; his siblings, Theodore "Pete" Tibbs (Harriet "Lee") of Lignum, VA and Carrie Belle Coleman of Delaware; his sisters-in-law, Jennifer Bannister of Alexandria, VA, Ruby Bannister of Culpeper, VA, Angela Bannister of Washington, D. C. and Additional; his daughter Darlene Bannister; his cousins, Thomas Hopkins Jr. and Beverly Banks; his granddaughters, Idasha Brown and Tykia Cottoms; and his close friends, Hortense Hinton-Jackson, John Warner, John Slaughter, Albert McGhee and Paul Burrell. He is also survived by twenty-four great grandchildren; a great-great granddaughter.
