He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Henry and Lillian C. R. Smith. He is survived by: his wife Maggie; his children, Richard Jr. (Jakki), Terry (Myles), Cheryl (Amadou) and Michael; his stepsons, Howard Charles (Pamela) and Mark Hutcherson (Pamela); and his grandchildren, Kenderick, Keenan, Corey and Myaa. He is also survived by other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives, and friends.
