He is survived by: his wife Carol Lea Barton Tunison; his sister Jane Ellen Tunison Lawson; and his children, Barton Richard Tunison, Garett John Tunison (Amy Tunison), Roland Clay Tunison and Heidi Jane Tunison Pickering (Fredrick Pickering). He is also survived by 24 nieces and nephews, 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
