He was predeceased by: his parents, Elzie Leon Compton and Virginia Carolyn Bailey Compton. He is survived by: his children, Nicholas Compton (Theresa) and Kerry Flinchbaugh; his siblings, Joseph Compton (Gina) and Angie Lines (John); his grandchildren, Joseph Flinchbaugh, Layla Flinchbaugh, Dean Compton and Harper Compton; his nieces, Andrea Lease (Ryan) and Kimberly Compton; his nephew Andrew Compton (Miriam); and his great-nephew Leo Compton. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
