He was predeceased by: his brother Charles Strickland. He is survived by: his parents, Charles Strickland of Florida and Kathleen "Kakki" Sanders Strickland of Goldbond, Virginia; his children, Michael Sean Strickland Jr. of Pearisburg, Lee Strickland of Pearisburg and Kelsey Strickland; his close friend Brenda Lee Cumbee; and his nieces, Alisha Williston (Justin) and Crystal Lee.
