He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Tara Nicole Reese; and his brothers, Hans Bodo Juhle and Werner Juhle. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Juhle; his children, Krista Diane Garrett of Waldorf, MD, Margret Hope Journell (Steven Journell) of Pearisburg, VA and Carl Ray Juhle of Morehead City, NC; his grandchildren, Caitlin Michelle (Barrett West) of Waldorf, MD, Steven Ty Journell of Pearisburg and Carl Chase Journell of Pearisburg; his great grandchildren, Molly Reese, Lilah Betterton and Kane Betterton of Waldorf, MD; and his brother Friedrich Juhle (Martha) of Ferndale, WA..
