She was predeceased by: her parents, William Thomas Boyd and Katie DeMott Boyd; and her siblings, Virginia B. Emerson and Calvin T. Boyd. She is survived by: her daughter Laura W. Whitt (C. Keister Whitt, III) of Ringgold; her sister Frances "Tillie" B. Long (Larry) of Fishersville; her granddaughters, Abby W. Chaney (Alan) of Danville and Leah W. Jarvis (Kevin) of Graham, NC; and her great grandchildren, David Gage Chaney and Hayden Clay Chaney.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to Ringgold Baptist Church, Ringgold Fire & Rescue, or the Danville Life Saving Crew.
