He is survived by: his children, VaRonda Mays, Elder Anita Lee of Danville, VA, LaCresia Saunders of Atlanta Georgia, Lester Edward DeShazor Jr. of Baltimore Marland and Isaac Lee DeShazor of Danville, VA.; his siblings, Lawernce DeShazor (Sylvia) of Ringgold, VA, Lonnie DeShazor (Betty) of Ringgold, VA, David Watkins (Jannie) of Ringgold, VA, Raleigh, James DeShazor of Danville, VA. and Lenora Lee (Danville Virginia) of Danville, VA.; his grandchildren, LaQuisha DeShazor, Byron Walters and Paul Carter III (Kianna); and his great grandchildren, Harmoni and Heiress. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Antioch Baptist Church (447 Old South Main St, Danville, VA 24541). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Apostolic Faith Temple (124 Witcher Rd, Ringgold, VA 24586). A burial was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at the Hackberry Baptist Church (2026 Hackberry Rd, Sutherlin, VA 24594).
